If you've read my blog and follow me on social media you will know I adore dogs! All shapes and sizes, they are just my favourite! So if you want to include your family dog in your photo session then it is a huge yes from me! And I'll tell you one thing, a pooch makes the shoot super fun. Charlotte contacted me to book her wonderful family in for an outdoor woodland photo shoot in my local woods in Colchester, Essex. With a fairly new dog, Marley only 18 months old, he was still a puppy really, a very fluffy, cheeky and extremely lovable cockerpoo!
Focusing on their adorable pooch, this family had the happiest and sweetest outdoor session walking, cuddling and fussing over Marley. I love working with soft tones and woodlands and other natural outdoor areas are perfect for my style of photography. I chose the light cream path as it really lifted the images and made my light and airy style sing!
I love to shoot and capture super natural moments, in fact you'll rarely see my clients looking at the camera. I think years ago there was an assumption that for a 'good' photo everyone had to have that staged smile and be looking right down the barrel of the lens. That's the opposite of how I shoot.
