I'm a total minimalist! And love clean looking things in life from my home decor and styling to my work and photography. I don't like fuss and I don't like clutter. So, my sessions follow suit. My all white, no themed cake smash shoots take place in my bright and airy Colchester studio and they seem to be a huge hit. I have many families and parents coming from not only the local area but further afield in Essex, Suffolk and London.
I prefer to focus on the child in my cake smash shoots and not a busy theme or bright colours. A theme or trend can go out of style over the years but white never goes out of style! Even my cake is tailored to my sessions being a delicious Victoria sponge with cream and jam, finished with vanilla frosting. YUMMY!
There's no chocolate cake and no brightly coloured frosting. One, as these would not go with my look and two, chocolate cake and coloured icing never looks great on a babies skin! My cakes are the perfect size for their little hands and don't overshadow your child like a giant cupcake or huge cake would.
