When Mummys-to-be are feeling super brave it does make me smile! Maternity underwear shots are some of my favourites. Just beautiful and capturing your body and bump as they are in the moment.
Not every pregnancy and bump is the same, if you have a second child your bump may sit differently and your body may also look different so I adore capturing these once in a lifetime images for new parents.
Georgia and Jake were a past wedding couple of mine and I'm always flattered when they come back to me for the next stage in their lives. I feel so honoured. They came to my all white studio in Colchester, Essex and we spent the time capturing couple shots, dress shots and lingerie shots of this amazing time.
Personally, I'm a huge fan of maternity shoots and I'd definitely have one myself! In fact I'd probably have two. A studio maternity shoot and an outdoor maternity photoshoot. To me they are such a different look and I'd love both sets in my home!
In the studio I love the cosy natural vibes and encourage gentle hand placement and touches to showcase a less posed final image! We used one of my newest dresses from the studio wardrobe. A full lace, patterned floor length gown which you could see the underwear through it. Soft and gentle on Georgia's skin, so dreamy!
A wonderful item I love to add over the top of the lingerie shots is my white kimono. The soft fabric, cascading down each side, softens the images.
We had a wonderful time capturing these special moments. Take a look through some from this session.
